Flexible File Upload: Anytime Access

We’re excited to introduce a new feature that offers users greater flexibility in uploading files. Now, users can upload files at any time, even during bot interactions. This update also includes a new control in Settings/WebChat that allows you to decide whether file uploads are restricted to live agent chats.

Previously, end users could only upload images, documents, or files while engaged in a conversation with a live chat agent. With our latest feature, users can now click the upload button and upload files at any time, even while interacting with the bot, providing a more seamless and convenient experience.


    In the Settings/WebChat section, we've added a new button labeled 'Only upload files when in conversation with a live agent':
    • This button is enabled by default, preserving the current flow where uploads are restricted to live agent interactions.
    • When this button is disabled, users gain the ability to upload files at any time, even during bot interactions, offering enhanced flexibility.
    • If the 'Enable/Disable file upload' setting is turned off, this new button will be grayed out and non-editable, ensuring consistent functionality based on your preferences.

    This enhancement empowers users with the ability to share necessary files whenever they need to, without being limited by agent availability. We’re confident that this new feature will improve the overall user experience by providing greater flexibility and control over file uploads.
